FRANCO MENEGUZZO

Franco Meneguzzo (1924-2008)

 

Born in Valdagno in 1924, Franco Meneguzzo was first a musical student before turning to painting and sculpture. In 1949, he begins to practice ceramic in Vicenza. His work is then influenced by abstract art.

In 1955, he founds a new company with Bruno Danese, DEM (Danese e Meneguzzo) dedicated to ceramic and other works of art. The project was terminated in 1957 but Meneguzzo will follow on his collaboration with Danese. He produces pieces for the Laboratorio Danese Ceramiche.

Meneguzzo was exhibited in galleries in Europe and continued his career as a painter throughout the 60s.
