HERBERT OHL

Herbert Ohl (1926-2012)

 

Herbert Ohl, born in Germany in 1926, attended the Akademie der bildenden Künste in Karlsruhe.

During the 1960s, he was working as an architect and designer in Ulm where he was also Rector of the Academy of Design (HfG).

Involved in social and environmental matters, Ohl was awarded the New York Low Cost Housing Prize in 1969 and the « Gute Form » prize in 1983.

From 1984, he was a professor at the Fachhochschule in Pforzheim.
